Leon
Ivan Leon Siler, Jr. 6/10/31 – 10/14/95 |
Today would have been my father-in-law’s 82nd birthday. I wonder what he would have been like? He died at the much too young age of 64. He was a bold man, a man redeemed from alcohol. A man that drove us crazy at times but was devoted to Christ and his family. The men he sponsored in AA were fiercely loyal to him. His friends filled the church at the funeral. I am grateful for the nearly seven years that I knew him. When I married into the family he loved me like my own father. When I got pregnant with our first child he took me to lunch and gave me a note that I still keep in my bible. It simply said: Psalm 139:13-16 We Love You!
Leon – I miss you almost as much as your son does.
Sounds like he made a huge impact on a lot of people!
