I had every intention of writing a book review this weekend on a new release by Emily P. Freeman, “The Next Right Thing”. I was fortunate enough to be selected as part of a pre-launch group that received an advance copy to read and review before it comes out on April 2. It is an excellent book regarding making decisions (a subject that all of us can relate to) and my review can be found on Goodreads<\/a>. I highly recommend it and encourage you to pre-order your copy<\/a> (it’s hardbound!) now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then today happened. I went for a massage this morning, redeeming a gift certificate<\/a> from my husband for Christmas. As I was laying there, face down, all quiet and comfy, it seemed like I should use the time to be reflecting or thinking deep thoughts or something like that. So I said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“God, what do You want from me?”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Nothing, I don’t want anything from you.” <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I admit, that stopped me in my tracks. At that point the massage was starting to target some really tense muscles and I decided to not think for awhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bit later, as I was laying on my back with my eyes closed and enjoying the quiet (and tense muscles getting relaxed), a new thought came.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I want everything <\/em>for<\/em><\/u> you.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was it. Nothing more, nothing less. Now I’m not one that goes around saying “God told me” or “I feel led to” or things like that, that’s just not my faith journey. But every once in a while, I just know when I’ve had a message from Him. It’s not an audible voice or a burning bush, or anything like that – it’s a quiet Word in my heart. This was a message for me, today. Furthermore, when I told my husband about it, he teared up and I knew it was a message for him too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe it’s a message for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
