Going to the beach has been one of my favorite things for a long time. I moved around as a lot growing up, but we always lived inland. I’m sure I saw the Pacific Ocean when\u00a0I\u00a0was little, but have no memory of it. Therefore, I was an adult the first time I “saw” the ocean (Atlantic). It immediately drew me in and I have loved going to the beach (ocean)\u00a0ever since.<\/p>\n

I cannot go to the beach without thinking about God. I recently saw a Rick Warren<\/a><\/strong> quote that really resonated with me.<\/p>\n

“God’s love is like an ocean. You can see its beginning, but not its end.”<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I am at the beach right now, on my annual “Family Girl’s Weekend”, and yesterday my time spent staring out at the ocean brought to mind these thoughts to consider.<\/p>\n

The ocean is routine, but not mundane.\u00a0God is steadfast and sure, but not boring.<\/em><\/p>\n

The ocean is ever-changing, yet always the same.\u00a0God lives outside any box of definition, yet He’s always the same.<\/em><\/p>\n

The ocean is forcefully moving, yet calming.\u00a0God is constantly moving and creating, yet calming and secure.<\/em><\/p>\n

The ocean is loud, yet creates silence. God can be heard in the stormy winds, but also in the quiet stillness.<\/em><\/p>\n
