It’s unusual for my neck of the woods to get snow in April. Yet yesterday brought just that. A couple of hours of snow sandwiched between clear days, budding trees and fresh mowed grass.
It was brief – yet served as a reminder that in the midst of all of our control, there are things that will pop up in life that we cannot control. Sometimes the things that pop up will have no lasting consequence, like a little snow shower in April, but others, like a blind date, can change your whole life.
I believe the important thing is to stop a moment and look at the pop up and embrace it for the moment and see where it leads. A snow shower in April brings a fun moment to enjoy and marvel at – to shake you out of your routine (and appreciate the sunshine the next day).
A blind date just might bring you the love of your life, marriage, three kids, thirty years of marriage and more “life” than you ever imagined.
Embrace the “pop ups” of life!
