Beauty and the Beast
My daughter and I had an incredible experience Saturday night. At 4:30 in the afternoon I got a cell phone call from my husband. Seems that my SIL and her husband didn’t feel like using their Off Broadway tickets to Beauty and the Beast for a performance at 7:30 that night -did we want them? One word: YES!
My daughter and I quickly left Stacey’s house where we had been looking at her Wear It Well jewelry inventory and headed over to pick up the tickets. Two hours later we were parking at War Memorial Auditorium and soon we were in our seats and waiting for the performance to begin.
There is no way I can do justice to the performance in any kind of review – so let me just say, if you ever get a chance to go – do it! The singing and dancing dishes, Lumiere, Gaston, the Beast, and of course Belle, the sets, and the transformation scene – all will make a wonderful impression on you. I have been fortunate to have seen two other Broadway plays. One was another off Broadway play – CATS played in Winston-Salem, NC about 20 years ago and then in 2007 I got to see Les Miserables actually on Broadway which was completely fabulous.
Today I recommend you check out the blog of I Sound Like My Mother. Happy Monday!
Hi, Sheila! *jealous* Way cool that you got to see those plays. I'd love to see Les Miserables-what a story of redemption and love. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Blessings on your day!
So glad you got to go. Broadway plays are so fun. We haven't been in years. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite stories.
I love singing along to good lyrics too :O)
I grew up outside of Manhatten and my parents took us all the time to Broadway. Sadly, in Arizona, not too much luck darn it.
