Blurry Tuesday
What a whirlwind life has been lately! My job with Kids Voting–Guilford County is going full force right now. We are a non-partisan, non-profit organization that works to teach students to become engaged, informed citizens who will vote when they are of legal age. Right now we’re gearing up for the election (which we will be doing online in the schools for the first time), sponsoring an Art Contest, and I am sending out a direct mailing for fundraising. All with a two person office, whew!
I am working on building my social platform, and in fact just changed the URL address of this blog. I want to build my blog name (which is also my twitter name) – SheilaScribbles. I am learning about Feedburner and Google Analytics, it’s enough to make my head spin!
All this while I juggle a husband who is thinking of changing careers; a senior in high school who is working on getting his Boy Scout Eagle rank paperwork processed and applying to his college of choice early; a freshman in high school who is about to get his Boy Scout Life rank, active in his church youth group, and looking toward a future as a physician; a fifth grader who has two major trips this year – one to Savannah, GA for the “pilgrimage” to the birthplace of Girl Scouts, a class trip to Washington DC, and all the subsequent fundraisers that accompany her activities; AND look toward a birthday trip my mother-in-law is taking me on in January (maybe Aruba, St. Martins, a cruise, San Diego) to celebrate my 50th birthday on December 31st.
Thanks for letting me vent, I lead a great life, but I will be ready for mid-November when it gets here!
