Grand Canyon . . . one of my favorite things
Our first family “adventure” (after going to Disney World) was a trip to the Grand Canyon. We flew out on an evening flight, landed in Las Vegas and then headed out the next day for the Grand Canyon. There are no words to adequately describe both the place and the experience. The Grand Canyon is somewhere that I felt both small and large at the same time. I felt small in comparison to the majesty and beauty of the place, but large in that I felt part of a larger plan, the creation of the world.
I hope I never forget the impact of standing at the edge looking over into something truly so very “grand”.
Great topic for G. I can still vividly remember my time at the GC, and I look forward to going with my daughters.
I am enjoying your choice of A-Z this year. I thought about doing a things I hate A-Z Blog this year. But I decided to do it about music instead. I remember going to the Grand Canyon as a child, unfortunately the experience was lost on me because of my age and I didn't find it nearly as cool as I would now. Great Blog. Stopping by A-Z
Just stopping by from the A-Z Challenge list to say "Hi" 🙂
I LOVE your favourite things theme.
Good luck with the rest of the challenge!
xx
Perfect description of the feelings. We were there with snow on the ground and as much as I'm not a winter snow person, it was truly beautiful, and we had the place almost to ourselves.

Don't think I'll ever forget the Grand Canyon, but it's been a while. I need to see that beautiful country again. Next time you're in the area, don't forget Mt. Zion and Bryce Canyon in Utah. Hi, just visiting in the A-Z. I'm your newest follower:)
Short and sweet, but indeed conveying the emotions.. Hope to visit GC someday..

My wife and I visited the Grand Canyon many years ago. To this day, I too still marvel at beauty and "grandness" of this amazing place.
