Gratitude 2013 – Day 8 – Daisy
I am thankful today for my dog Daisy. She gives unconditional love – no strings attached. She is content with whatever I can give her. If I want to walk, she wants to walk. If I want to snuggle, she wants to snuggle. Is she the perfect dog? No. She will still escape out the door given a chance and run around the neighborhood. She licks too much and likes to hump strangers in the house. But none of those are deal breakers for me. Walking with her in the early mornings gives me a good start to the day, having her tucked up beside me and under my elbow as I type gives me a warm feeling (both literally and figuratively). I don’t know if I am a dog person – but I am definitely a “Daisy” person.
I'd say that you're a dog person. 🙂 And so am I, because I enjoy those things about my little pooch, too. When I was in my twenties, I never would have pictured having a dog who added to my peace and joy. Right now, Layla (my dog) is barking at something outside the window). Even that doesn't bother me. Continue to enJoy your Daisy!
What's a little humping when you have a dog like that?
Thank goodness for dogs . . . I love that mine meets me at the gate everyday when I come home and is so excited to see me! And cuddles up right next to me on the couch (and in the bed!) and knows when I am sad . . . unconditional love is right!!!
She is a delight! 🙂
Cute dog. I too think you're a dog lover. Personally, I prefer cats, but they're sometimes hard to please.
