Happy Birthday Sue
Today is my mother-in-law’s 76th birthday. She has been a part of my life now for 22 years. Actually, I met her before I met my husband (she vetted me). That’s another story – maybe I’ll tell it on my anniversary next April.
She’s had a hard year, her husband of 6 1/2 years passed away in January and it has been at times a very painful journey. But she’s an amazing lady. She’s recovering and starting to smile more and more again.
I am grateful be able to say Sue’s my friend, who just happens to be my mother-in-law.
Happy Birthday Sue, your birthday cake is waiting for you. I love you!
You definately have an amazing mother- in-love, as we call ours.
What a nice tribute to your mother-in-law, she sounds like a special lady. Raising my coffee cup in a birthday toast … Cheers 🙂
Happy Birthday to your mother-in-law. She sounds like a joy. May the coming year bring her peace and happiness.

Thoughts in Progress
3 1/2 years ago I lived in Raleigh, NC with my disabled daughter. But my goal was to get to northern Virginia! Still, I felt a connection when I read where you live–and I feel pulled into your blog now that I've found you through KarenG's blog. I'm following now, and I'll be back!! I too love creative nonfiction, which is close to memoir, my favorite genre.

I love her too!
