J + ocund = JOCUND
[jok–uhnd, joh-kuhnd]–adjective
cheerful; merry; gay; blithe; glad www.dictionary.com
Today I have much reason to have a jocund attitude.
Yesterday I had my MRI done on my knee, which had caused me some anxiety at the idea of going into a “tube”. I was most grateful to discover that I got to go in feet first and my head was out of the machine. I am not usually claustrophobic, but the idea of that was causing me some slight panic.
Then when checking my blog I found I had been awarded a blog award (see my new badge on my sidebar) from Deirdra at A Storybook World. What a thrill and an honor!
It is my goal to have this attitude daily.
Jocund, what a lovely word. Glad to hear you feel this way today and that your knee is ok. Congrats on your award, Deidre sure has been busy handing them out. Have a fantastic and Jocund day.
Jocund…that's a word I'll have to try and remember. I see Deidre's been handing out awards left and right to people. Congratulations on yours!

Hi Shiela .. it's a fun word – one we don't use much …
I too think the thought of going into a tube not too thrilling .. glad all anxiety was abated – hope the knee will be too.
Congratulations on your Powerful Woman Writer's Award .. well deserved .. cheers Hilary
