Moonrise Kingdom
Last weekend my husband took me out on a real date (we tend to grab a bite to eat and then go get our grocery shopping done). We went to see a delightful movie called Moonrise Kingdom. Though the main characters are children, it is not a kid movie. It is quirky, warm, deep, symbolic, fun, and very well acted with Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, and Edward Norton. The music is an integral part of the movie itself (in my opinion) yet does not overpower. The plot makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside – but from a different place than romance or happy endings stories. I don’t know how to explain it – but I’d say go see it! Oh, and then we went to dinner afterwards at Fuddruckers – delicious!
Glad you broke the shopping cycle and had a real date!
I'll make note of your suggestionand add it to our "list of things to do", when we travel back home in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the recommendation. It sounds like a fun movie.
Sounds like you spent a wonderful time. I love movies that make me feel warm and fuzzy. 🙂
I'm not sure I'd ever heard of that movie before. Thanks for the recommendation.
Must try that movie – it sounds like good theray for when you feel a bit low..
I for sure have to see this movie…too many of my favorite actors to miss it. And Fuddruckers! What a treat, maybe I'll see if my wife will take me…for a date.
