That's a beautiful picture and an even nicer quote…from The Bible, right?
Gorgeous photo. I've found that learning "to be still" – and actually making time for it – has really enriched my life. Sometimes it's a hard thing to do, to carve out a chunk of silence for yourself amid all the clutter and cacaphony of modern life.
I have heard this verse a lot and never quite understood what it meant. One day it came to me. It has become one of my favorites. That is why it is on the side of my blog.
What a photo to wake up to on Sunday! Breath taking. I am a new visitor and follower via twitter. I am also participating in the A-Z challenge. Are you writing your posts ahead of time as some have or are you just going to write them daily (which I thought was the point)?
And it is in the stillness where we find ourselves and God.
It is amazing how many people don't know that.
Happy Sunday!
Thanks for all the comments today. Yes, they quote is from the Bible – Psalm 46:10. It was a very meaningful verse to me about 23 years ago when I was struggling with singleness.
I agree, taking the time to just stop makes all the difference in the world.
As to the challenge – I am actually addressing that in tomorrows post – tune in to see!
Your post reminds me of a special moment I had twenty some years ago, sitting at Mizen Head, the southernmost tip of Ireland. I looked out over the water and seemed to hear God say, "I made this for you."
