Supersized Overhead Bins
I read that airlines are increasing the size of their overhead bins because people are bringing so much carry-on luggage. I know a lot of people do that because of business travel and also fear of losing luggage. But it seems to me a huge issue is luggage fees.
Maybe if I got one free checked bag, I wouldn’t try to stuff so much in my carry-on. Just a thought . . .
The airlines seem to be going the way of banks – adding on as many irritating fees as possible for every little thing – and getting away with it.
It’s pathetic isn’t it? What’s next, a fee to use the toilet? They nickel and dime us to the point of pure stupidity.
Bet they will find a way to charge for that as well! At least bags fly free with Southwest.
Actually, some overseas airlines are charging for the toilet, according to a friend who travels extensively. I agree with you, Sheila. Of course, my well-traveled friend uses the opportunity to buy one or two outfits when she travels. She ships them home afterwards. 😉
I read about this in the LA Times. They were suggesting that they will probably start charging for carry-ons soon.
