Tug of War
So it begins. Last night I bought my daughter a cute sundress from Rue 21 for her 5th grade graduation next week. When we bought it I told her she had to wear a tank under it and she agreed. However, when we got home and she tried it on again, the bargaining began.
I grew up with very strict dress code, and I have loosened up a lot. But I do still have some rules for her. I don’t think it would matter anyway, I think we’ve just reached the age when all “rules” are up for challenge.
Ah me, I have a feeling my boys were a piece of cake . . .
Oh yes, girls are a challenge! My little one is only two and already gives me a hard time with what she wears. My sister has two boys and they never gave her this much trouble.
Best of luck! 🙂
Be strong, Sheila! It does matter. I really have found that explaining "Why" this is a good rule helps my girls…
Congratulations to your little sweetie!

In my experience, girls are more trouble. No doubt.
Although my friend with two boys may tell you differently.
Girls can definitely be more of a challenge than boys! My 6 year old argues with me about clothes already. I guess we have to pick our battles…
Boys are a piece of cake?? My goodness!!
Hearing praise about boys for first time!! Happy to know!!
with warm regards
