Early Morning . . . one of my favorite things
I am not particularly a morning person. I can easily stay up too late (especially when I am reading a good book) and I like to sleep. But there is something about early morning that I enjoy, that is IF, I am the only one up and everyone else in the house is sleeping. I like that quiet that comes with being the only one stirring, yet not being alone. I let the dog out of her crate, go in the living room and sit on the sofa with Daisy curled up beside me. Sometimes I drink a cup of coffee, often I just sit and listen to the sounds of the house.
I do the same thing when we are on vacation, especially at the beach. I love to go sit out on the balcony (or porch, depending on where we are) and sit quietly listening to the sounds of the beach, watching the sun come alive.
There’s just something about the promise of the day that is held during those early morning moments.
I love that feeling of promise you mentioned. I like getting up early – a habit started in childhood that I never grew out of. I just feel like I can get so much more done (whether that's boring chores or something more creative or fun) when I'm up early.
Great post 🙂
I am an early bird too. I love to sit and watch the sun come up with a cup of coffee. I do my best thinking in the morning as well. I find that as the day goes on, other thoughts and distractions cloud my creativity. Great post.
Early morning is my absolute favorite time of day. I love the quiet, the sunrise, the birds…the promise of a new day.
I don't stay up late and I sill miss mornings! Except when I have to work. Then I would rather miss them.
Since early mornings are great for photography, even on vacation I am up quite early so as to capture the beauty of the days beginning.
We are so much alike. I tend to stay up too late as well (11pm — and I'm just now getting to A to Z posts), but when I do get some sleep and wake up to a quiet (big emphasis there) early morning, I love them. Great post!

I don't often see the morning. Like you (and Tia above) I can be a late reader. But when I do see the morning I love a good sunrise and some quiet… 🙂

I'm not much of an early bird. My son and wife are, though.
