New Year – 2013
I could never imagine when I was a kid being older and certainly not living in the “2000’s”. I couldn’t wrap my head around that. And yet, here we are, the first day of 2013 is nearly done.
The day has been quite pleasant. My family and I (all three kids, husband and I) went to see Les Miserables – which I highly recommend. The acting was great, the film very well done, and everyone enjoyed seeing it. We then came home to a traditional New Year’s meal of ham, collard greens, and black-eyed peas. I don’t know if it will bring all the money, luck and progress it symbolizes – but it can’t hurt! The best part of the day was then going to my brother’s house and visiting with his daughter and family who are in town for a few days. They live in Bolivia – so seeing them once a year is a treat.
I’m looking forward to 2013 and all that it will bring. Let’s have some fun with it!
All my friends are raving about Les Mis. I'm sick right now, but as soon as I'm able, I'm going to see it. Sounds like you started the new year off in a lovely way.

I'm so happy to hear such an enthusiastic recommend for the movie – it looks fantastic from previews and I can't wait to actually see it.
Happy new year!
Bring on the new year!
Hi, Sheila,
Happy New Year! New follower here.
I hear Les Miz is awesome. Saw it in NYC on stage ages ago and am looking forward to seeing the film.
All the best for 2013!
Hi MIchael, I too saw Les Miz on Broadway back in February 2007. It was fantastic, and I felt the movie did a great job. Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for following!
