Where Have I Been?
The last three weeks have been without a doubt, in terms of my writing, the most dedicated ever. I entered the NaNoWriMo challenge and what an experience it has been. While I don’t believe at this point I will “win”, I am extremely pleased with how much I have written (see NaNoWriMo word counter on the side of this blog). I will attempt to write some more, but with the holidays and a trip out of town coming up next week, I don’t know how much more I will get done. However, I am not abandoning the project, I will proceed and hopefully finish the challenge by the end of the year.
In the meantime I am thinking of the joy of having my father here for Christmas (and my birthday!), the first time we’ll be together for these celebrations in many years. My oldest son just received his Eagle Scout ranking, so a ceremony and party are being planned for next month. My daughter is performing in a Christmas production at our church next month, and my middle son stays so busy between Scouts, Youth group and friends that he needs a social secretary (oh yea, he has one – me!).
I’m delighted that this Sunday I will get to see my niece and her husband along with their two children, the youngest of which I have not met.
I have missed my blogging, both writing it and reading others (I apologize for the neglect). I am currently working on an article that I plan to submit to the paper. I’m back!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Wow, great progress on NaNo. It seems that it really works well to jumpstart so many writing projects. And you've got a busy season ahead, with a whole latte fun times planned … Enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours 🙂
Congrats on your word count…and upcoming family time. I love the holidays. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
